H. Mizuno's Barber Shop(バーバーショップミズノ)の水野さんは、日本人や外国人のお客さまの髪を高い技術でカットし数十年になります。

東京ヒルトンホテルで理容師の仕事を始めた水野さんのお客さまの中には、アメリカ大使、スイス大使、アメリカ軍放送関係者(FEN)の方々もいらっしゃいました。

その後独立し、羽田東急ホテルで自分のお店を30 年間経営した後、現在の場所に移ってきました。

バーバーショップ ミズノの古風な内装を見ると、60年代や70年代の時代にぐっと引き戻されます。

お店のレトロ感を醸し出すのは、壁面を飾るヴィンテージ広告、クラッシックなアメリカ製ヘアトニックの瓶、評価が高い磁器の有田焼で作ったシャンプー台。

レトロ体験の仕上げをするのは、若い人から年配の方まで、お客さまと古き良き時代について英語で楽しくおしゃべりすることが好きな理容師の水野さん本人です。

おおらかな水野さんが一人店長としてお店全体を取り仕切っているため、カット中は他のお客を気にすることなくリラックスできます。

お店の営業は基本的に予約制です。

水野さんはヘアカットをまかせてくれる常連さんを多く抱えていますが、新規のお客さまも積極的に受け入れています。

Mr. Mizuno of H. Mizuno's Barber Shop has decades of experience providing excellent haircuts to Japanese and non-Japanese clientele.

He began his career at the Tokyo Hilton, where his clients included people from the American and Swiss embassies and the Far East Network (now known as the American Forces Network-Japan).

He next operated his the Tokyu Hotel in Haneda Airport before moving to the present location.

H. Mizuno's Barber Shop's classic interior takes you on a fascinating trip back to the '60s and '70s.

The retro atmosphere includes vintage ads decorating the walls, classic American hair tonic bottles, and a sink made with celebrated Aritayaki porcelain.

Making your classic experience complete is the barber himself, who likes a good chat in English about the good old days with customers young and old.

The easygoing Mr. Mizuno owns and operates the entire space, SO you can relax during your haircut without the distraction of other clients.

The barbershop primarily operates on a reservation-only system.

Mr. Mizuno has many regulars who trust their hair only to him, but he also welcomes new customers.
